EUCIC Local Course 2026- Venice, Italy

The next EUCIC Local Course, part of the European Committee on Infection Control (EUCIC) certification programme by ESCMID, will be held onsite in Venice, Italy, from 5 to 7 March 2026, at the Scuola Grande di San Marco.

This edition is titled “Management of ‘pandemic’ MDROs: is it still simple and feasible?” and will focus on the prevention, surveillance and management of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs), with particular emphasis on practical strategies and behaviour change in clinical settings.

Unlike traditional lecture-based courses, this programme is designed to be highly interactive, combining theoretical sessions with group discussions, roundtables, and applied learning. Participants will explore both the national and international landscape, gaining practical tools to support the prevention and control of infections, as well as the detection and management of MDROs.

The course is open to medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses and other healthcare professionals with prior training in infection prevention and control or relevant experience in the field.

Attendance at live sessions is required for certification.

Registration is open until 15 February 2026.
Places are limited. Accommodation is not included in the registration fee.
