EUCIC IPC Certificate Programme 2026–2028
The EUCIC IPC Certificate Programme 2026–2028, organised by ESCMID through the EUCIC, is now open for registration.
This two-year programme represents a comprehensive and forward-looking educational pathway designed to strengthen professional competencies in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs), addressing some of the most pressing challenges faced by modern healthcare systems.
In an era defined by the global spread of infectious diseases, highlighted the growing threat of multidrug-resistant organisms, the role of IPC has become increasingly central. At the same time, access to structured, high-level training and recognised IPC qualifications remains limited across Europe.
The EUCIC IPC Certificate Programme was developed precisely to respond to this gap. By building on the diversity of European healthcare systems, local epidemiology and established best practices, the programme aims to train a new generation of IPC professionals capable of translating evidence, guidelines and real-world experience into effective prevention strategies.
The programme offers advanced, structured training that integrates
-
a robust and comprehensive theoretical curriculum covering key IPC and HAI topics
-
a practical observership hosted in accredited IPC centres across Europe.
